We make escape rooms you play on screen: locked things, hidden clues, and the moment it all clicks.

Escape Room

What we make.

Eli & Ron

Who makes it, and plays it far too many times.

Where it started

As always, a nuclear submarine.

That was 2017, the first escape room Eli and Ron worked on. Since then they have built the software behind dozens of real-life rooms, including the award-winning “Cube”, “The Intervention” and “The Sting”. The Hacker was their own game: a mobile escape room that mixed physical props with a digital half, packed into ninety minutes.

The Hacker: Protocol ZER0 picks that story up on the big screen, where the room no longer has walls: a whole trolley of clues, a forensics lab, and a city to search.

How we build puzzles

Our house rules

The rules we hold every puzzle to. They come from building rooms where the clues are things you can hold.

Grounded in reality

Every step is something you could do in the real world: turn a case over to read its base, wire up a board, pick a lock, line up a code. From the first lock to the last, it plays like detective work.

Clues live in the world

Every clue is drawn onto something you can pick up: a boarding pass, a shoelace, a luggage tag. Most of them only show once you turn the thing over, zoom in or hold it under a magnifier.

Fair, never obvious

Nothing reads like a printed answer. Decoys are part of the fun, and the real answer is always there for anyone who looks closely. Pixel hunting and wild guessing didn’t make the cut (we tried; it isn’t fun).

Help from a person

Hints come from a character you talk to. Agent Throne answers in his own words, one step at a time: first where to look, last the whole answer.

The Hacker: Protocol ZER0

A 3D escape-room thriller. Mr. X left behind one black trolley and a message: “Protocol 0 started.” Crack its locks, read every clue and stop him. 90 riddles, about 8 hours.

In the works

The Hacker: Dark Web

The prequel: the case where Mr. X first shows his face. Eli & Ron’s original escape room, rebuilt for the screen.

For teams & organizations

Cyber Hazard

A hands-on security game for the workplace. Your team walks straight into phishing emails, weak passwords, sketchy downloads and social-engineering calls, and learns to spot the traps by playing through them, which sticks far better than another slideshow. Built around real cyber threats, tuned to your organization.
